Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the Binks 66SS, 67SS and 68SS fluid nozzles?
Orifice size, which sets how heavy a material the gun can move:
| Fluid nozzle | Orifice | Use for | Needle |
|---|---|---|---|
| 66SS (45-6601) | .070″ / 1.8 mm | Thin to medium: lacquers, synthetic enamels, primers, epoxies, urethanes | 565 |
| 67SS (45-6701) | .086″ / 2.2 mm | Heavy, cream-like: house paint, latex, block sealers, gel coat | 567 |
| 68SS (45-6801) | .110″ / 2.8 mm | Heavy to very heavy: block filler, mill white, vinyls, textured coatings | 568 |
Table 1 — 2100 fluid nozzles by orifice. All three are stainless steel.
The 66SS is the general-purpose choice and ships on both stocked 2100 outfits. Step up to 67SS above about 28 seconds on a #4 Ford cup, and to 68SS with the 68PB air nozzle for the heaviest coatings.
