CPF Breathing Air Filter Maintenance and CPF-20 to CPF-80 Conversion
The Clemco CPF is the breathing-air filter that stands between the compressor and the operator's hood. Maintained, it delivers Grade D air to NIOSH spec. Neglected, it's a CO and oil exposure waiting to happen.
1. Filter Cartridge Replacement
The CPF cartridge (CC 03547) is the only part inside the housing that comes into contact with the breathing-air stream. Replace every 6 months minimum, or sooner if:
Pressure differential across the housing exceeds 7 PSI
Any oil smell or taste at the hood
CO monitor alarms even briefly
You see brown discoloration in the bowl
