DeFelsko Testex Press-O-Film Replica Tape, X-Coarse, 1.5-4.5 mils (40-115 microns), 50 Replicas

Testex Press-O-Film X-Coarse measures the anchor profile on abrasive-blasted steel across 1.5 to 4.5 mils, the range most blast specifications fall in. Coating inspectors burnish a strip onto the surface, then read the compressed replica with a spring micrometer or PosiTector RTR to get a peak-to-valley profile height. It is the replica method named in ASTM, ISO and AMPP standards, and the burnished strip doubles as a physical record for the job file.

Compatibility

Measure with the Testex Digital Micrometer (RTM), Testex analog dial micrometers (RTMMIL, RTMMIC and certified versions), or the PosiTector RTR H and RTR 3D replica tape readers. The Testex Digital Micrometer and RTR H apply the X-Coarse conversion and subtract the 2 mil backing automatically.
