The PosiTector 6000 FN1 pairs the Standard PosiTector gauge body with the FN probe, an integral probe for measuring coatings on both ferrous and non-ferrous metals, automatically recognizing the substrate. It covers 0-60 mils (0-1500 µm) and suits inspectors, applicators and QC labs that need documented, standards-based dry film thickness readings. Best fit: one-handed spot checks of paint and powder coat on steel and non-ferrous metals in the shop or field.

Compatibility

Standard vs. Advanced
The Standard body (model ending in 1) stores 1,000 readings per probe and connects by USB. The Advanced body (model ending in 3) adds 250,000-reading batch memory, live graphing, Prompted Batch Mode, three Scan modes, SSPC-PA 2, ISO 19840 and IMO PSPC 90/10 inspection modes, multiple stored calibration adjustments, WiFi and Bluetooth for the PosiTector App and printer. The Advanced version of this gauge is the FN3.
