CHARACTERISTICS

Styles: (Life based on using Black Beauty or Green Diamond)

    -  Ceramic, life is 2-8 hours,  low production cabinet with glassbeads

    -  Tungsten carbide, life is 300 hours,  standard nozzle with all abrasives except Aluminum Oxide

    -  Silicon carbide, life is 400 hours  standard nozzle, however more brittle than tungsten carbide

    -  Boron carbide, life is 750-1000 hours, very brittle, use with alum. Oxide, carefully handle

Sizes:

    -  Low production short nozzles, ¾” threaded or flanged for ½” blast hose, best for touch up and cabinets

    -  Medium production short nozzles, 1 ¼” threaded, 3 – 4” long, best for hard to reach areas

    -  High production nozzles, 1 ¼” threaded, 6 – 9” long, best for medium to large equipment, parts

    -  Very high production nozzles, flanged for 1 ¼” ID hose minimum, best efficiency for large scale jobs

Configurations:

    -  Straight venturi nozzles, best angle to blast the surface is 70 to 80 degrees

    -  Angle nozzles, best for blasting around corners or right angles

    -  I.D. blasting nozzles, best for blasting the entire ID of pipe without rotating the pipe

SHORT NOZZLES

    -  CT, UT short nozzles

    -  Ceramic flanged, best in blast cabinets with glassbeads or soft abrasive

    -  Tungsten carbide ¾” threaded, best in cabinets for production work and touch up in the field

    -  CJD nozzles

    -  Tungsten carbide 1 ¼” threaded, best for blasting hard to reach areas and small jobs

PRODUCTION NOZZLES

    -  CSD,TLVE, SSR nozzles

    -  Tungsten carbide 1 ¼” threaded, doesn’t last as long, but can take more abuse than Silicon and Boron liners

    -  Silicon carbide  1 ¼” threaded, 25% longer life and weigh less than Tungsten liner but more brittle

    -  Boron carbide  1 ¼” threaded, 3 times the life of Tungsten, best with hard abrasives, very brittle

HIGH PRODUCTION NOZZLES

    -  SDX nozzles

    -  Tungsten carbide flanged, most efficient nozzle for large applications, attach to minimum 1 ¼” blast hose

ANGLES NOZZLES
